I liked this post. I full-heartedly agree with you that although change is uncomfortable, it is a necessity of growth. It hurts, but we don't "change" without "change". One definition of insanity is trying to change something without changing anything. Doing the same thing over and over to change ourselves even though it hasn't worked the last 100 times.

Check out this post. It is very much on topic with yours.

The best is the left over turkey dinner after the "big" meal. What is really above that is the time we spend with loved ones, friends and family and count our blessings.

If we really think about it we do have so much to be grateful for. The best way to see this is to make a list and review it.

These are beautiful thoughts. Thank you for sharing them.
I believe in expressing my thanks through action; i.e. appreciating the gifts the universe gives me whether it be a penny on the sidewalk or an awesome sunrise. However; I agree that it is important to express our thanks publicly, and the added blessing is that in so doing we may also inspire others to see what they may otherwise have missed.

Fasting is an excellent alternative to cleansing your body and rid of the toxins. This time of year wouldn't be a good time to try it due to all the great holiday foods and desserts. Glad to hear your grandaughters surgery went well, have a Happy Thanksgiving.
